The Beastie Boys aren't really thought of producing instrumental music with such songs as "Brass Monkey", "Fight for your Right (to Party)" and "Intergalactic". However this album has some great songs on it that show the members of this band are really quite instrumentally talented. Namaste is a good song to listen for the electric piano on. |

Unlike most rap artists, the Beastie Boys actually play their own instruments. Money Mark joins them while playing a few vintage keyboards such as the Hammond, Clavinet and Wurlitzer. When i first heard 'Namaste' i thought it sounded a lot like Santana's Abraxas until i realized it was the same electric piano that was used although i'm not sure if it was the same model. |
