Comments:  THIS IS THE ESSENTIAL ZAPPA! PERIOD. He never before and never after had a better band and made a better record. And the first tune, "Inca Roads", wraps up what this man stood for: A superweird arrangement (that surprises you every other time around, yet is enormously logical),a band that plays the most intricate stuff as if it was NOTHING, a guitar solo that's lightyears ahead (hear where Van Halen borrowed his tapping technique!) and a Rhodes solo by George Duke that's bursting at the seams with sheer energy. (Duke's also on lead vocals here!) Even if you're not into Zappa at all, you should give this one a shot!
