Comments:  This album is very good at showing the usage of modern keyboards/electrics in jazz as a whole, Joe Zawinul playing rhodes, arps and also acoustic creating sophisticated textures. On the other hand, Wayne shorters great sax talent was becoming more sidelined, and this last great album for weather report is less organic than past glories but is all the same essential for any fans of this kind of music. The compositions towards the end of the album are more intresting.

Comments:  It can be argued that this was the commercial peak for this band and it would all go downhill from here. I don't think that is so but this is the album where i usually jump off at. WR were pretty much a fine tuned machine at this point. This was the album along with Herbie Hancock's 'Head Hunters' that introduced me to jazz and i've never looked back.
