This sampler collects tracks from Deodatos's post-"Prelude" work
1974 - 1976 featuring covers such as Steely Dan's "Do It Again" (hence the title) and Deodato originals. Great Rhodes by Mr. D. all over the place, but actually too much of John Tropea's 70s-style trademark fuzz-laden guitar solos. Deodato's "Juanita" is a pretty
blatant rip-off from Donny Hathaway's "Valdez in The Country", but you haven't lived before listening to his rendition of the iconic "Star Trek" theme. Kewl. |
