Comments:  Good, but a lot of showing off (duh!). They tend to take the road less travelled, i.e. complicate things beyond reason, but that's Mahavishnu in a nutshell. Still, it's good.

Comments:  Agreed. The one good thing about this record - the tapes were simply "forgotten" after the recording was done, can one believe THAT? - is that we now finally know where the songs on their live album From Nothingness To Eternity (awful, my opinion) have their origin!

Comments:  I honestly don't know what people see in this band. To them it's all about soloing until the cows come home. Jan Hammer sounds fine on the Rhodes but it apparently wasn't enough for him so he added a Minimoog to his rig and essentially became a second guitarist. I used to listen to these guys a lot when i was younger but i'm pretty much put off by them now.
