McCann the man, now with a Rhodes, the second time around live in Switzerland. His soulful, melancholic rendition of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" alone is worth the whole album. The bad news is: as far as I know, there's no reissue on CD available (don't confuse it with his Montreux record "Swiss Movement" from 1969 - great stuff, too, but no Rhodes). I dug out my vinyl copy in at a litlte record trader's store on Hollywood Blvd. 2 years ago. Lucky moi! |

I agree, that's a nice one. The sound quality is not pristine, as the Rhodes sometimes distorts like crazy, but well... it's live and it has a very nice atmosphere. Nice announcements, too. Gotta love Les McCann...
Although there's no CD version available, Amazon.com has an mp3 download at the moment (April 2008) |
