While his earlier jazzfunk-works are more famous, this is his last real jazzfunk record. After this, he put his mark on disco, as he had earlier put his mark on jazz and funk. This is a good album, and fits the 'series' from Head Hunters to Thrust to Man Child. Yet it's a bit more disco-y without being disco. It's jazzfunk, but smoother than before. |
