Comments:  The In a silent way/it's about that time suite off this album is one of the most beautiful pieces of modern music to me, the 2 rhodes pianos played by hancock and corea shimmer allover this record. My highlight is the gorgeous very rich rhodes chords on 'it's about that time'. First track shhh/peaceful is brilliant too, and as a whole this album not only influenced jazz music but has had much influence on modern music as a whole. Relaxing, yet stimulating this is an essential recording.

Comments:  From the beautifully simplistic opening of 'Shhh/Peaceful', this album is an all-time classic. The musical journey begins with the unmistakably warm tone of rhodes piano. Tony Williams' manic hi-hat action leads perfectly into the record, the result is a magnificently tranquil musical lattice.
This is the first jazz record I ever owned, but I wouldn't have it any other way

Comments:  with not just chick, but herbie and joe aswell, this is as close to rhodes nirvana as you will ever get. just sit back and marvel at the sweetest sound in the world - a late 60's rhodes played by three masters. this is better than potatoes roasted in goose fat.

Comments:  time has not been kind to this album, nor to "bitches brew". maybe miles was indeed trying to hard, for much of the music here sounds quite dated (it's like patchouli pouring out of your speakers). there are some seriously dangerous albums in the electric miles canon; this isn't one of them.

Comments:  This is a truly sublime recording - probably my favorite album of all time. The keyboard playing by Joe Zawinul, Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock really makes this album - Miles' trumpet almost takes a backseat to the relentless Rhodes piano rhythms.

Comments:  This is not only my favorite album, but in my opinion a work of magical beauty and subtle genius. The Rhodes sounds are etherial, and there is something new to discover on every listening.

Comments:  Must have , especially the "Complete in a Silent Way Sessions" , with previously unreleased tracks.

Comments:  IMHO This is clearly THE Best album ever recorded. Nothing comes close (I have searched) - Either the original or the Complete Sessions and even the Panthalassa Remixes are worth checking out. Timeless, evocative and beautiful.

Comments:  Everything has already been said about this masterpiece but i thought i would give my two cents. What is not commonly known is that Chick played a Wurlitzer and not a Rhodes. I found this out through several articles that documented this album and naturally found this hard to believe so i decided to listen to it again and sure enough it's there. I guess you learn something new every day.
